Follow Your Own Path. Not Everyone Will Understand Your Path — And That’s More Than Okay
The first time I said “yes” to a decision that made no sense to anyone else, I was shaking in my boots — heart racing, doubt creeping in. It wasn’t flashy or grand. I declined an opportunity that looked “perfect” on paper because something inside me whispered, This isn’t your way. I couldn’t explain it thoroughly, and the raised eyebrows from loved ones didn’t help. But I knew. I knew. That moment changed everything.
The truth is, not everyone will understand your path — and that’s not only okay, it’s expected.
There are over eight billion people on this planet, and every single one is walking a path that is uniquely theirs. Even if someone has a similar story, background, or experience, your way through it, your choices, your timing, and your lessons are entirely your own.
It’s like walking through a forest. Some people will find their way by following a well-worn trail, while others will take to the trees, carving their way forward through underbrush and thorns. One path isn’t better than the other. But it is different. And when your way doesn’t match what others expect, they might not get it. They might question it. They might ask you.
